Wow, I remember planing the CD release party in the summer and now it’s here and time! I have rehearsal with the guys Friday and then it’s showtime at 10pm Saturday at Swan Dive! I can’t wait to see all my friends there and celebrate with the band.
So, It’s getting close! The CD party on Jan. 21st at Swan Dive is around the corner. I’ve been in touch with Scrappy, George and Dony about a rehearsal for the show. We finally settled on the day before the show. I would be nervous if they weren’t the music pros they are. These guys probably don’t even need a rehearsal, but they are being so sweet and making the time for one! Our friend Andre Moran is going to play 2nd lead guitar. It’s going to sound amazing. Hoping to find someone who can video tape it. It would be really cool to also make a music video that night. Maybe I’ll just take behind the scenes footage with my nice iPhone and see what we can throw together. Who knows! I remember Dony, George and Scrappy saying they never recorded all three together in a room, until my record, and they’ve know each other forever. I wonder if they’ve all been together for a live show before? I’ll have to ask. This is a very rare show, and I’m not sure if we’ll ever get all these guys together again for awhile! So, I sure hope all my Austin friends can make it. I am so excited. I wish my family from the Midwest could be there for this special night. More reason to tape it for them!
There will be a big window cling of my new record cover on the outside of Waterloo Records in Austin this month! The CD is also featured on the Waterloo Hear Texas Here listening station in the store. You can listen to the album and grab a copy, or wait until my CD Release party on Saturday, January 21st at Swan Dive. Scrappy Jud Newcomb will be on guitar, Dony Wynn on drums and George Reiff on bass. I play at 10pm. Mark your calendar! 2 of my favorite bands will follow my set at 10pm. Nic Armstrong will be at 11pm and Darren Anthony Hoff will play at 12.

I’ll play at 10pm, Nic Armstrong will play at 11 and Anthony and The Hard Times will play at 12. I am counting down the days to this fun night.

I’ll be playing every Monday night 8-10pm at the Whip In in Austin, TX starting in November and going through December! Guest stars will be opening the show. On Nov. 7th Nick Randolph from Stonehoney will be opening.. The shows are always all ages and free!
